Cyanotype is an early photographic printing process that produces a print with cyan-blue hue, hence it’s name. The technique is highly versatile and can be applied on to a variety of surfaces.


Ketemu’s artists are going to share journey in expressing ideas with cyanotype for contemporary art. Participants will have a hands-on experience to create their own fabric print, from composing the film negatives to exposing and developing their images. They will also understand the theories behind the age-old alternative photographic process. Participants will get select from a range of film negatives of the artist’s collection. With those images they can get creative and produce their own artwork with the collage-fabric-print.
