Ketemu Project Space residency artist during the exhibition is Ila, who is a visual performance artist in practice and works primarily with analogue elements to create organic narratives within performative structures. These performances’ process began on researching in Singapore before coming to Bali where she tested and trained her body learning Balinese dance through videos online, then practice within her own domestic space while doing household chores.

The embodiment of the often unseen struggles of art making are then revealed. Many times the process and struggle of women artists creating artworks were tend to ignore. Here, ila invites the audience to feel and a chance to appreciate that process within the black box that she has prepared.

One of the performances ila is showing also collaborated with Murni’s own Balinese Teruna Jaya dance costume.
