30 participants from around Indonesia participated in a residential workshop titled “Ayo Ketemu!” (“Let’s Meet!”) on 28th June – 1st July 2019 in Denpasar, Bali. These participants come from various fields in the creative economy, ranging from visual art, visual communications, product design, craft to fashion.

“Ayo Ketemu!” opened with a speech from Budi Agung Kuswara,Founder of Ketemu Project. Followed by a speech by Sarah Ramadhita, Manager of DICE Indonesia from the British Council, who addressed how Gerakan Kreabilitas is aimed to improve inclusiveness for persons with disabilities in the creative economy of Indonesia. 9 casual discussions, creative hands-on classes and product presentation, with 3 sessions open for public, commenced.

Tarini (Founder, FENCY Community), I Ketut Supena (Head of BRSPDSN Mahatmiya), and I Putu Krida Lesmana Putra (Person with Visual Impairment & Barista, Artne Coffee) were the speakers for “Blind Coffee Specialty” talked about coffee brewed by persons with visual impairment. Sasanti Puri Ardini (Ceramics Designer, Jenggala Ceramics) delivered her experience and work on coffee cups that she recently had the project for Jenggala. After the talk, Tarini conducted the hands-on class “Blind Coffee Specialty” that required participants to blindfold their eyes to brew a cup of coffee. This activity aimed to experience how to brew coffee without being able to see it. The participants gave themselves a try to experience it.
