href=\"https:\/\/ketemu.org\/toolkits\/disability-in-indonesia-disabilitas-di-indonesia\/how-to-plan-creative-inclusive-programmes\/\">inclusive programme<\/a> and how to <a href=\"https:\/\/ketemu.org\/toolkits\/creative-collaboration-planning-with-people-with-disabilities\/inclusive-communications\/\">communicate inclusively<\/a> now we will be looking at how to make an inclusive working environment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>An inclusive working environment is a space that does not create any barrier to all its users.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3>When looking at making our workplace accessible we need to pay attention to:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Whether or not the space is already well known to people?<\/li>\n<li>Are there enough signage and are they clear? Such as entrance and toilet signs<\/li>\n<li>Visibility of the infrastructure, such as the colour contrast of signage against the wall, can you easily the exits and light switch, etc<\/li>\n<li>Floor pattern. An overly busy or too shiny floor could be distracting for those trying to find their ways around the place.<\/li>\n<li>Mirrors, for some people who suffer from dementia mirrors, can cause confusion<\/li>\n<li>Furniture, consider furniture that is easy to use and disabled friendly, for example, chairs with arms for those who need to rest their arms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-af19e70 elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget Tahun 2017 Tentang Persyaratan Kemudahan Bangunan Gedung<\/a>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2ad0021 elementor-blockquote--button-color-custom elementor-blockquote--skin-border elementor-blockquote--button-view-icon-text elementor-blockquote--button-skin-classic elementor-widget Indonesian Government rule on public spaces and buildings\u00a0<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Safety, that all public buildings should pay attention to people&#8217;s health and safety<\/li>\n<li>Ease of use, everyone could reach public places and buildings easily.<\/li>\n<li>Usability,\u00a0 everyone has to be able to use public spaces and buildings<\/li>\n<li>Independently, everyone has to be able to reach, enter, and use public spaces and buildings without the need to rely on others for help.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d7b446d elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"d7b446d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p><span class=\"fontstyle0\">To create an inclusive working environment you also need to consider the psychological effect the working environment has.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontstyle0\">From our experience working with disabled creatives here are a few things we considered to accommodate people&#8217;s mental health:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Ensuring that the space is comfortable and not too formal, so colleagues are not reluctant to ask questions or voice their opinion.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"fontstyle0\">We adjust working targets to each colleague individually, to accommodate to their needs and timeline<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"fontstyle0\">We focussed on maximising accessibility not people&#8217;s weaknesses, for example ensuring that everyone is given access to the correct information and providing them with a space to voice their opinion.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cc9b8f7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"cc9b8f7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div
